• Weight

Individual cases related to the weight of the Georgian Mountain Dog vary according to genetics, diet, and health status. Yet, as usual, the weight of adult representatives of the breed varies between 50-70 kilograms.

• Lifespan

The life expectancy of a Georgian Mountain Dog ranges from 10 to 12 years and is equal to approximately 79-93 years of human life. However, remember, these figures are only conditional, and the lifespan of your important family members depends on their healthy lifestyle and harmonious living environment.

• Fur

The Georgian shepherd is adorned with a well-fitting, short coat. As a rule, the fur on the back of the neck and thighs is longer than on other parts of the body. The short but thick coat of these important family members consists of two layers and provides excellent thermal regulation in the harsh mountain climate at any time of the year.

To prevent excessive shedding, the coat of the Georgian Mountain Dog requires regular grooming, especially during seasonal changes. Fur can have any combination of colors. Albinism may also be detected.

Due to their large size, representatives of the breed usually consume a large amount of food. Adult Georgian Mountain Dogs need about 4-6 cups of high-quality dry dog ​​food daily.
